EVENT PROGRAM
APRIL 16, 2024
From 12:00 PM: Participant check-in at Hotel Club Hanane Ouarzazate.
From 4:00 PM: Bib distribution, technical, administrative, and medical checks (each participant must report to the race commissioner and meet the technical and administrative requirements set by the organizer).
8:00 PM: Dinner, evening honoring the participants, and briefing.
9:00 PM: Night at the hotel (rooms are provided for double or twin occupancy).
APRIL 17, 2024
1st Stage
Distance: Approximately 20 km and 10 km, with a simultaneous start. Participants in the 10 km race will stop after covering 10 km and will be transferred to the finish line of the 20 km race.
5:00 AM: Breakfast.
6:00 AM: Gathering at the hotel reception for a minibus transfer to the stage start location.
7:00 AM: Race start. End of the stage, transfer to the hotel.
1:00 PM: Lunch.
7:00 PM: Briefing and musical evening, featuring local folklore.
8:00 PM: Dinner, night at the hotel (rooms are provided for double or twin occupancy).
APRIL 18, 2024
2nd Stage
Distance: Approximately 24 km and 10 km, with a simultaneous start. Participants in the 10 km race will stop after covering 10 km and will be transferred to the finish line of the 24 km race.
5:00 AM: Breakfast.
6:00 AM: Gathering at the hotel reception for a minibus transfer to the stage start location.
7:00 AM: Race start. End of the stage, transfer to the hotel.
1:00 PM: Lunch.
7:00 PM: Briefing and musical evening, featuring local folklore.
8:00 PM: Dinner, night at the hotel (rooms are provided for double or twin occupancy).
APRIL 19, 2024
3rd Stage
Distance: Approximately 26 km and 10 km, with a simultaneous start.
Participants in the 10 km race will stop after covering 10 km and will be transferred to the finish line of the 26 km race.
5:00 AM: Breakfast.
6:00 AM: Gathering at the hotel reception for a minibus transfer to the stage start location in Skoura, 38 km from Ouarzazate.
7:00 AM: Race start. End of the stage, participants will be accommodated in Skoura.
1:00 PM: Lunch.
7:00 PM: Award ceremony and musical evening, featuring local folklore.
8:00 PM: Dinner, participants will be accommodated in Skoura (rooms are provided for double or twin occupancy).
APRIL 20, 2024
7:00 AM: Breakfast.
9:00 AM: End of the event and departure of the participants.
TECHNICAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE CHECKS
The verifications will take place on April 25th , 2023 starting at 4 p.m.. Each participant must report to the race commissioner the required documents.
Each participant must fulfill the technical and administrative conditions provided by the organizers by presenting the original documents (administrative and medical files).
ADMINISTRATIVE FILES
All the documents should be sent to us via Email one month before the departure and also present them on April 25th , 2023 starting at 4 p.m., including the completed, dated and signed entry form, the photocopy of the valid passport, 1 Photo of identity, individual insurance certificate and repatriation insurance certificate.
MEDICAL FILE
The file includes:
A medical certificate of “no contraindication to running in competition” less than one year old from the date of the start of the race.
An electrocardiogram test less than 1 months old must be presented on the day of checking the documents. If the documents could not be presented on the day of the control, exclusion may be decided without the refunds of the costs already paid.
COMPULSORY EQUIPMENTS FOR COMPETITORS
A camelbak, An eco-cup for the needed supplies, Whistle.
RACE ORIENTATIONS
The participants must imperatively follow the sings of the stages.
The course will be indicated by signs every 500 meters approximately, several natural landmarks will serve as additional indications so that the participants stay on the axis of the course.
CHECKPOINT
The checkpoints will be spaced approximately every 5 km. They will be used for refueling and scoring. Passing through each control post is mandatory for each competitor. Otherwise, there will be a penalty if someone doesn’t. Medical assistance will be present at each post and will have the task of helping or treating in case something urgent happens.
REFUELING
The organization is responsible for the supply of liquid in the checkpoints.
Note that each participant must have their own eco-cup in their possession
No cup will be available at the refreshments. (Ecological responsibility).
